This Summer 2018 I am working on an exclusive original Safari Exhibition. The compositions involve mixed media presentations of the captivating form of African Safari animals and offer a range of stylised pieces for sale. The paintings are sold frames and mounted, and 20% of the proceeds will be given as a contribution to The Alzheimer's Society Charity. Please enjoy viewing the exhibition below and be in contact for any originals, prints or commissions.

This Safari Exhibition has been inspired by my recent realisation for the beauty of Africa. Over the years many of my family and close friends have explored various regions of Africa and returned home to express nothing but their appreciation. Africa has diversity of culture, people, foods, lifestyles, wealth, and landscape. The landscape is vast, (the whole of the US could fit in Africa, as could Europe, India, and China). and there is a diversity of culture as a result. While some are struggling through severe droughts, others are struggling with the dangerous unpredictabilities of living in the forests of the Congo or the remote islands of Mozambique. The languages vary between neighbouring countries, causing huge barriers, and civil wars add to this already challenging environment.

However, from the experiences I have been shared, the individual element that unites Africans is their appreciation for life. Despite this diversity of hardship, Africans have been generalised as the warmest, friendliest, most grateful people in the world, and this is not because they sit in fast cars or big houses, it is because they take nothing for granted. They don’t have many of the trappings of modern life that we take for granted in the ‘developed’ world but they seem to be content with the feelings of togetherness, hope, appreciation, and joy. This joy is what we live for, and for many Africans, this derives from an appreciation of the world around them, from an appreciation of nature.

The contrasting colours and compositions are representative of the diversities of Africa, and the bright colours representative of natures beauty and ability to bring us happiness.
